Reader, you may have heard that... "If nothing changes, nothing changes. If you keep doing what you're doing, you're going to keep getting what you're getting." Courtney Stephens wrote that in her book The Lies About Truth. She follows it up with: "If you want change, make some." With that in mind, here's a little story about my life 7 years ago. It was a weekday around 4:30p, and I'd gotten to take off early to enjoy some quality IKEA-time with our then-teenage daughter. (Something we loved to do together.) As we were driving home after a wonderful time, we went past the building where I used to work. And it made me cry. (⬇️ Btw, you can watch instead of reading, or read on below. ⬇️) Because here I was, 4:30 in the afternoon on a workday, enjoying time with my daughter. And that building represented a BIG contrast in the way things used to be. So often (too often) I’d be in that building til 8 or 9 o’clock at night. And then I’d show back up on weekends to get things done I couldn’t get done during the week. Sure, I remember lots of winning moments and fun times. But I also remember the late night pizza I’d order and eat (ALONE). I remember the tense text messages and phone calls I’d have with family… “Listen, I just have to get this done. I just need a little more time.” So as I was driving past after a wonderful afternoon, I realized… This was something I loved from my past. But it was also something that held me hostage and kept me and my family from living our best life. From doing more important things. And now, more than 7 years later… 💪 I’m looking at a healthier version of myself. 💪 I’m looking at a healthier version of my family. 💪 I’m enjoying more free time, and time to get away out of town. 💪 AND…my professional career is at an all-time high. And it’s all possible because of change. Because as Courtney says, “If nothing changes, nothing changes.” Without change, I could still be back there. So I’ve been looking at doing something for everyone doing life with me. I care about you living a better life than your past self too! Wonder if you’ll ever get there? Here’s a quick test, ask yourself these 3 questions…
Maybe you’re a yes to one question. Maybe even two. But for most people honest with themselves, the answer is no, no & no. So on Tuesday August 20th, from 9:00a-12:00p, I’m hosting an Elements of Momentum class at the Undivided Experience Center in Chesterfield. It’s about figuring out the life you want, and doing more to get there in 12 weeks than most people do in 12 months. AND it’s focused on all areas of your life - personal and professional. I’ll be walking you through some practical ways to wrap your arms around what you want. And then figure out how to make it actually happen for you. We’re figuring out the what, who and how of it all. 7 years from now you could be looking back relieved you “wanted changed, and made some.” Hope to do life with you live and in-person! Have a blessed day, Dawn PS - If this isn’t for you but you know it could be for someone else, please be their mortar and forward this on to them! Whenever you're ready, there are 3 ways I can help you:
And here's 1 simple way you can start helping others:

Hey Reader, I was at a retreat center with some clients the other week. We were doing deep work about growing in our respective fields (fitting considering the story I'm about to tell, come to think of it 🤔). When we took a break, I decided to get outside and move my body by taking a little walk. I saw water in the distance, and walked down to the edge of what happened to be the Mississippi. As I got closer to the water, I noticed a lot of the foliage, grass and weeds were darkened and...
Hey Reader, wanna know something that makes my stomach turn? When people say, "You're just so busy..." or "I know how busy you are..." It always makes me think, "Oh, man, have I made you feel that way?" or "Did it take too long for you to get on my calendar?" or "Are you just following my antics on social media?" 😂 I think it makes my stomach turn because I never want anyone to think that my life is too full/busy for the things that are important. So I'm coming to you today to say that... 1)...
Hey Reader, it's October! Let's talk seasons. What I love about the word 'seasons' is, it makes it feel like there's an end to a time I'm walking through. ALL seasons have an end. In the Spring... We enjoy the warming temps, rapid growth, and budding leaves and flowers. (But maybe you don't look forward to the storms it also brings...or the allergies.) Then Spring comes to an end, and we're in Summer. Summer brings beautiful warm days and baseball. (But later we have to fight to keep...
